What made you want to become a caterer/baker/cook/chef?
I was poor and hungry- took a job as a line cook at an Arabic market/pizza restaurant then really enjoyed learning a life skill. Over time as I learned more, cooking was all I wanted to do. The expression of pure unfiltered joy on someone's face caused by something I made? Unmatched!
Who or what inspires you?
Literally everything- different things inspire me in different ways. The rivers inspire me to adapt, my animals inspire me to practice patience, other artists inspire me to be more daring- everything is inspiration if you are open to it.
What is your favorite meal?
There's just something about an amazing meatloaf that will make me weak in the knees.
What's a fun fact about you?
I volunteer for disaster relief anytime I am able to do so.
While my bakery is new, there are big goals I want to achieve with Butter Babe Bakery in terms of products I offer, the capacity of operation, and collaborations with local farmers and artists.
